Hiya, the name’s Unaiza (which I’m trusting you figured out already). I’m the one with the traditional asian family so, naturally, I’d had my life planned out for me from the start, with Doctor being the definite goal. Though I’ve gone through phases of wanting to study maths in more depth, my interest in science has developed over the years and I actually want to write on this blog, rather than being forced to against my will, to get everyone else engrossed in it too. Here’s to hoping you don’t regret spending your time here instead of making an effort to tackle 1 of the 7 homeworks you still have left to do!
So, as you have gathered my name is Yasmin. All my posts are about things I have come across that i’ve found unusual, or have just sparked an interest in me, which I hope you will enjoy finding out more about.
I’m currently studying Philosophy, History, Biology and Chemistry for AS with the hopes of one day being a psychiatrist or geneticist.
I hope you enjoy the blog. If you’re ever on the computer looking for things to distract yourself from your work, I encourage you to read a few articles (productive procrastination makes for a better excuse for no work done!)
I will leave you with this, my favourite medical quote:
Medicine, the only profession that labours incessantly to destroy the reason for its existence.
Hello, I’m Pryanka (duh), I’m short (duh) and I want to be a doctor (duh I’m Indian!). I’m in my Lower 6th year, studying Chemistry, Biology, Maths and French, dreaming of becoming a reconstructive surgeon some day.
This blog isn’t to bore any of you, it’s been set up so people who share the same interest as us can join in on all the fun! Science has always interested me as it’s constantly changing and there are always new things to learn. When I tell people I want to be a doctor the immediate response is shock, maybe because they wouldn’t want me operating on them, but I’m hoping it’s because of how much hard work they know the job requires – life will be a party for me. Hope you enjoy the blog as much as we do.
Good day friends and fellow BioMed lovers! Welcome. I, am The Clown.
I joke, I joke, I’m Julie. Like all the other Geeks here, I dream of successfully entering the world of medicine someday. I study Chemistry, Biology, French, Maths and Art at A Level. I’m French, I’m Focused and I am a Future doctor.
This blog is going to be great for all of you that are not only as interested in Medicine as we are, but also for those of you trying to grasp the concept of independent learning. Your teachers are telling you ‘to think outside the box’ (or should I say, ‘inside the blog’…) and you’re much too overwhelmed to know where exactly to start. Well, fear not, The Geeks are here!
This blog covers all aspects and viewpoints of biomedicine. No need to open a dictionary after reading one sentence of an article (if that…) and no need to open a million and one different sites and magazines – although, nevertheless, I recommend you take a look at the New Scientist, it’s really good. Wassup, Doc? gives you the full package in one. The real deal.
And now, I need to go do my Chemistry homework. Enjoy!
